On a more personal note
I have met women from all walks of life, through my career and in my personal life, and they have been passionate about life, excited by the divine female and driven to achieve more to have it all!
One most privileged experience was going to Banda Aceh after the 2004 Tsunami as ED of an international trauma-assist team. The situation was dire, and loss was horrific but the incredible change I saw happen in the course of the weeks I was there was nothing short of miraculous. The women were the first to take action. They made simple shanties and took to sweeping them out each morning with branches. When I visited, they would offer a seat, more often than not a found item that provided seating, and they would ask how I was, even though they might have lost twelve family members including children. Then, with this very simple action, the men, reassured by the normality of the situation began to physically rebuild the city, no longer distressed by the agony of powerlessness over the emotions raging all around.
On my way back to Australia I decided to focus my attention on helping driven women, leaders-in-life, handle that one thing that might be holding them back; as I knew then, that women proudly living on purpose positively affect their community and inspire action and reach for more, which in turn supports world happiness.
My decision threw me into action; I researched indigenous cultures, attended a sacred retreat with Min Mia (Koori elder, spiritual healer, educator and custodian of Traditional Law of the Wiradjiri people) and studied ancient lore, divine-feminine rituals, energy flow technologies and scientifically presented modalities for emotional and soul health.
My mother, an extraordinary woman and leader in her own right, having made international headlines for her work with polio victims in the 1960s, once said, "if someone can tell me how to love housework like I love everything else, I can finally say I've achieved excellence in all areas, and that would be a relief because who doesn't want it all?" Hence my focus line and a program called ExcellentUP!
Experience
I have enjoyed the most wonderful adventures, as a woman and leader in life!
I was a classical clarinetist, before moving onto musical direction for groups and large productions, taking performances to elite venues such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, with a most successful production bringing together many schools, an SBS documentary and winning the director the Churchill scholarship. I was CEO of an independent IVF facility established specifically for stem cell research in the very early years, since sold on overseas, and ED of a six-nation trauma assistance initiative for the Tsunami ravaged Banda Aceh in the north of Indonesia. I have coached elite sportswomen, promoted and integrated sustainable practice into inner city councils and worked with many exceptional entrepreneurs wanting more.
Further, I have studied NLP, timeline therapy, positive psychology coaching, life coaching, literacy, psychotherapy, relationship counselling, mediation, family constellation therapy, organizational board development, small business development, meditation practices and pursued excellence in extracurricular activities.
I am an advanced diver, played state-grade sport in two disciplines, have certificates in conducting, conciliation and youth support techniques and ran the netball club at Monash University culminating in hosting the intervarsity games. I painted houses to pay my way through university, learnt all manner of crafts including dress making, which became a home business while I raised small children and sold preserves and jams at local markets. I said yes to all invitations for adventure and Personal Developmemt, becoming adept at scoring music for unique band combinations and learning about the rituals and music of the Mass, learning how to run a sound system or play different musical instruments, decorate wedding cakes and become an accomplished ballroom dancer. And all the while I have navigated issues, challenges and struggles associated with the human state, successfully handling cancer, dire injuries, breakdowns in relationships and, at times, loss of security and foundation.
My guiding premise is and has always been that this is a wonderful life to be lived FULL OUT with so many adventures and successes available to us when we align with our unique, personal, BEST SELF and live on-purpose, as that is where we gain the energy and momentum to tap into it all!
And now? I am blessed, seeing women, who are already leaders-in-life, amp-up and shine brightly, embracing their divinity and love-of-being and flourishing with the free-flowing energized life, that is enabled when they align with their core, soul-gifted super power self, being an inspiration to all in their sphere-of-influence, as life is fabulous and here to be played FULL OUT!
